Just To Be Clear…

An aerial dance short

Winner of Inanimate Dance's 48-Hour Film Festival, Inanimate 48, this short aerial dance film uses aerial plastic time limitation and water to explore the complex sensation of exposure.

Rather than dramatic natural forces, the pressures we face are quieter, constant: ticking clocks, watchful neighbors, aching joints, unpredictable weather, and unending work. What happens when your frayed edges are visible? Do you perform? Retreat? React? Or do we embrace imperfection?

Performed, filmed, everything by Emily Stratton

Music belongs to Inda Kota and Jimmy Toohey, featuring Alan Watts.
