What am I looking at?
Are they on a wall?
It's Vertical Dance
Vertical dance, also known as wall dance, gives you the power to fly, glide, flip and run in gravity defying ways by literally turning your world on its side. Through a combination of rock climbing equipment and dance technique, you can transform your movement practice by using the wall as your floor.

Are they gliding around with ropes?
It's Harness Dance
Also called, low-flow and aerial dance in harness, a single point harness is a unique and minimalist apparatus that supports one’s weight at the hips to allow the artist to both connect with the ground and explore space at any height. Glide, spin, hover and swing your way into new movement possibilities!

Who is the teacher?
That's Emily Stratton
Emily Stratton is a multi-disciplinary aerialist and modern dancer who creates choreography, films, unique performances and specialized classes. Aerial dance that emphasizes full use of the floor, air, and spaces between is a core part of what makes Emily who she is. This area of focus is what has led her into the world of vertical and harness dance. Her hope is to give to Atlanta, specifically to her community of East Point, an entry point into this unique art form.
